Do You Want To Leave Boring Behind? You can!
HAVE FUN with Pangaea River Rafting on the Clark Fork River
Monday through Thursday, you can book an all day whitewater trip, with Pangaea’s famous mouthwatering lunch served beside the crystal clear waters of Fish Creek, one of the Clark Fork River’s most pristine tributaries.
You pick your meet time: 10:30 am, 12:30 pm or 4:30 pm (Mountain Time).
Where It Starts
Your trip meets at Pangaea’s headquarters along the banks of the Clark Fork River, about 2.5 hours from Spokane, Washington; 2 hours from Coeur d’alene, Idaho and an easy 45 minute drive from Missoula, Montana.
At Pangaea, a custom welcome sign greets you as you pull into the parking lot. One of our world famous guides will meet you at your car, explain what to bring and what to leave behind, before walking you over to Pangaea’s Paddle Shack.
What Pangaea Provides
We’ll equip you with everything you need to raft the scenic whitewater of the Clark Fork River’s Alberton Gorge: life jacket, paddle and optional wetsuit and/or splash jacket (always free of charge). Don’t worry, wetsuits and splash jackets are rarely needed because of the consistent hot weather and warm temperatures of the Clark Fork River.
After a quick and hilarious safety briefing, we’ll drive to the river and launch into your greatest summer adventure of the year.
The River – Clark Fork River, Alberton Gorge
The river starts off mild and scenic, with easy floating and some mild class II waves that will get your warmed up and ready for more. Then, we dash and splash through Cliffside 1 and 2, the first class III rapids on the river, followed by the awe inspiring purple cliffs and the deep tranquil waters that swirl below.
Then we run straight through the heart of the Alberton Gorge – Triple Bridges, Split Rock, Ice Box, Tumbleweed, Roller Coaster, Fang and Mermaid Rock.
Because each rapid is followed by calm water, no rapid on the river is ever too much for even the most cautious participant. We take kids as young as six years old on the Clark Fork River whitewater trip.
After the last wave garden we call Swimmer’s Rapid, where you can jump out of the boat and swim the rapid, you’ll pull-over with your guide beside Fish Creek for the most famous lunch served on the Clark Fork River – Pangaea’s hot potato bar with flamed seared chicken breasts, smothered in pepper and olive oil, romaine lettuce, sun dried tomatoes, artichoke hearts, cheese, real bacon bits, dressing and ooey-gooey brownies!
After lunch, let your cares drift away and your food digest during the mild and scenic stretch of river where our guests swim, float, play boat games or soak-up the Montana sunshine.
The price for this entire adventure is $85.
