What to Bring:

Clothes that are comfortable, something that can keep you cool in hot weather or warm in cooler weather. Although the trip is mild and scenic, you may encounter a splash or two. Wear shoes or sandals that you don’t mind getting wet. Also bring sun block, sun glasses, hat, binoculars, and field guides to help you identify the birds.

Recommendations:

The best birding occurs during the spring or early summer. By mid summer, the number of possible species decreases, but good birding and floating still exist, especially for the larger hawks and eagles. By the end of summer, August, the birding decreases further. So, get your bird watching river adventure in early.
