Read What Geekmom.com Said About Geocaching with Pangaea!

““When my family visited Montana this summer, we knew we wanted to take a rafting trip, but we weren’t sure how to choose between all of the outfitters and itineraries. Then we saw a trip tailor-made for geeky families: Pangaea River Rafting’s Clark Fork River geocaching excursion. The float combines rapids and raft games with a stop at a breathtaking location to hunt for a series of custom caches…””

7 Class III Rapids That Will Soak You!

Geocaching is a modern day high tech scavenger hunt. You’ll run 7 class III rapids with your whitewater guide. As you search for the three caches, we’ll set-up lunch after the final class III rapid FANG!

Eye Popping Scenery…

You can only see this kind of nature from our rafts – your friends will envy your stories and pictures. They won’t believe Geocaching could be so fun and adventurous so close to Coeur d Alene, Spokane and Missoula.

Close Your Mouth, Your STARING!

You can’t help but float in awe of the scenery you’ll see on the Clark Fork River Alberton Gorge near Idaho and Washington. Within the first ten minutes you slip into the bottom of a geological wonder where Glacial Lake Missoula transformed Montana, Idaho, and Washington into a geological spectacle and Geocache adventure and you’ll wonder where in the world is this Montana Geocache is?

Purple Mountains Majesty (literally)!

After the action, you’ll kick back for another scenic stretch, play games, hear the stories about the geology and history of the Clark Fork as you drift toward the purple cliffs beside Sandy Beach. But don’t look too long, the action picks back up with another big roller coaster wave train called Triple Bridges. Then a quick drop between Split Rock as you set-up for the famous Tumbleweed Rapid that squeezes through the narrowest part of the Alberton Gorge and one of our guests’ favorite rapid.

Swim, Eat, & Geocache In Paradise!

Fish Creek is a sky blue tributary of the Clark Fork River. Swim in a crystal clear pool while your guides prepare lunch and you search for three extraordinary geocaches. After an all-you-can-eat potato bar, grilled chicken, mixed salad greens, artichoke hearts, sun dried tomatoes and homemade dessert, let your food digest and your cares drift away on the final, mild and scenic stretch of river.

This Is A MULTI-CACHE!

This cache isn’t for the faint of heart! This is a true Montana geocaches. We’ve hidden 3 caches that will have you climbing above the river looking for your first Geocache. After the first Geocache you’ve just begun a word class adventure – all your friends will be jealous when they hear what you did to find the second Geocache! No Montana, Idaho or Washington adventure compares.

After Lunch

After lunch, there’s some easy class 2 splashy wave gardens, but it’s easy floating from here to the take out at Tarkio Boat Ramp. Let your food digest and cares drift away as you swim, float, play games, or kick back and relax with good conversation and beautiful Montana scenery all around you.

Back at Pangaea

There’s changing rooms for you to get into dry clothes, complimentary bags for your wet clothes, and a river store stuffed with free water, soda and beer to celebrate the funnest day of the summer with your guides and boat mates. We call this social event, the Happiest Social Hour in Montana. And of course, there’s photos to watch (and available for purchase if you want), tee shirts, stickers, and lot’s of pictures to see.
