Itinerary

You and your group will meet us either at Pangaea’s Clark Fork River location or Johnsrude Park and boat ramp on the Blackfoot River (depending on your travel needs). Most groups meet us at Johnsrude, the end point of the raft trip. That way your dry clothes and belongings are there for you at the end of the trip. Once we meet, your guide will meet and greet you, prepping you with everything you need to know and do before heading out on the water. After you sign waivers and secure your vehicle, everyone loads up in a Pangaea vehicle for a 20 minute drive to the put-in up river from Johnsrude.

Once you leave shore, you’re guide will review paddle strokes, how to sit in the boat, and how to work together as a team to ensure you and your group experience the best possible ride down the river. Right away the river frolics and bounces, splashes and dashes as you paddle and laugh your way through the first series of class 3 rapids in Roundup Rapid.

After the First Rapid
After Roundup Rapids, the river mellows to a scenic float, providing the perfect opportunity to soak in the scenery, share stories and learn more about the icon flora and fauna of Montana.

Lunch Served Riverside
After a few hours on the river, we pull over to enjoy Pangaea’s famous lunch: hot red potato bar, flame seared chicken, fresh salad greens and mouth watering toppings like sun dried tomatoes, artichoke hearts, freshly shredded cheddar cheese, real bacon, all served “riverside.” Lunch served on the 10:30 AM and 12:30 PM trip.
